The Horseheads Youth Lacrosse Club encourages it's players to do a community service of their choice each year. Below are pictures from a few of the events our kids have participated in to help our community.
Community Service 2011-LaCROSSe Out Hunger II Many of our players, their families and club members ran a food drive to support The Horseheads Food Pantry! This was our second year with this drive and we believe it was successful as well as a great learning tool!

Community Service 2009 Each season the members of the club will be able to participate in a group community service project. For the 2009 season, we are supporting the Lyme Walk started by Horseheads High School senior Victoria Wilcox. The Lyme Walk is being held on Sunday, May 31st at the Holding Point. On June 7th, members of the 5/6 team participated in the Annual Kickball Tournament in Bath, NY to benefit the Ivan & Sam foundation. Ivan & Sam is an organziation which creates and distributes materials for childhood cancer patients to help them learn and understand what to expect as they undergo treatment. The boys raised $215 towards the cause! The HH Lax team was proudly led by team captain Alexei. The boys met some tough competition, but played through and had fun!
Alexei's dad, Kenny was on a team from Cameron Manufacturing. Kenny's team won the competitive division for the second year in a row!! His team raised $250 plus donated back their cash prize which was another $250. Games ran all day long and the competition was....fierce! A good time was had by everyone and we are so proud to have the opportunity to give a little back to our community.
